Mark Schwarzmann
President & CEO

Combining 20 years’ experience at GE, American Express and Ameriprise Financial and 10 years in venture funded start-ups, Mark brings unique, balanced perspective.  He is known for his strong strategic mind and passion for process excellence. During his career has overseen acquisitions and dispositions of business lines. The perspective and expertise he gained running businesses following market changing legislation – Telecom Reform Act, Financial Services Reform Act and Pension Reform Act – brings significant value in these unusual times.

Mark is president & CEO of LTC Freedom, Inc., bringing revolutionary change to the long-term care insurance industry. Mark was previously senior advisor to Even Financial, the leading API for financial services search, acquisition, and monetization. Prior to that, he co-founded Acadia Capital Solutions, a structured finance start-up serving the US life & annuity industry. Maintaining and enhancing his life industry contacts, while building a premier partner network and 50 state insurance agency. He also served on the GWG Holdings, Inc. board (NASD:GWG), on compensation and finance committees during the development of FOXO Technologies fintech, a successful recapitalization and reverse buyout effort.

Earlier, he led the life, disability, long-term care, and annuity businesses at Ameriprise Financial and American Express, including all wholesale distribution of these products as well as the mutual fund complex. With over 500 direct and 1,000 dedicated employees, these businesses generated $3.5B revenue, $1B pre-tax earnings, and $20B production annually.

In previous positions, Mark led a start-up fintech based in Dublin, Ireland (now Munich Re Automation) and held a series of leadership roles across four GE businesses, with global responsibility for an advanced manufacturing business, GE Power’s quality organization, and all GE Power’s acquisition work in Eastern Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall. He was a GE corporate auditor and graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program.

Mark is married and enjoys boating and leisure travel.

Marty Griffin
Executive Vice President

Marty is a passionate award-winning financial services executive who has excelled in leadership roles at GE, Aon, Ameriprise and Ohio National. Over his 30-year career, Marty has consistently delivered success. Working collaboratively, he architects strategy, vision and cohesive leadership teams where financial targets are exceeded, people grow and develop, and the enterprise grows exponentially.

​

At GE, Marty developed a strong alignment with the mission of the LTC industry. There, he crafted a strategy and partnered with broker dealers to build GE’s LTC Broker Dealer distribution. Under his leadership, this business grew 10x in three years from $5million to $50 million annually. 

​

Marty has led effectively up, down and across organizations. This has allowed him to successfully integrate acquired teams, build new businesses, turnaround dysfunctional businesses, and moderate executive level teams through difficult, mission critical decisioning and execution. In this process, he builds trust quickly and moves organizations from an “us and them” mindset to a “we” mindset.

Marty is a lifelong learner. He received a BA from Marquette University and an MBA with distinction from DePaul University. He is currently pursuing a master’s in Transformational Leadership and Coaching from Wright Graduate University and the Wright foundation for the realization of human potential. He holds Series 7 and 24 licenses with FINRA.

​

Marty lives in Wauwatosa Wisconsin. He has three wonderful adult children who are gainfully employed. Marty enjoys all forms of exercise, skiing, reading, and connecting.
